JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced staff bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of financial record-keeping, including payroll, journal entries, and budgeting. As a staff bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include preparing management reports, processing payroll, taking a trial balance, and liaising with the CPA as needed.

Responsibilities:

? Manage all aspects of financial record-keeping using software such as QuickBooks and other financial tools and company/industry-specific software.
? Perform daily data entry tasks from Point of Sale software to Quickbooks.
? Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations.
? Perform journal entries, bank reconciliations, and maintain general ledger accounts.
? Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
? Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
? Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable
? Produce complete prior-month financial statements by the 10th of each month.
? Audit preparation and compliance work
? Assist as needed in vendor relationship management

Requirements:

? Experienced bookkeeper with a full understanding of Technical Accounting Principles.
? Proficiency in QuickBooks, with Quickbooks Online Certification.
? Strong understanding of budgeting processes.
? Ability to perform accurate journal entries and reconcile accounts.
? Experience with payroll processing and related journal entries.
? Available for working hours 9am - 2pm Eastern Time.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills - B2 or better English Score
