Role Overview:
We are seeking an IT Specialist with a strong background in CakePHP and expertise in both front-end and back-end development. This role requires advanced knowledge of website architecture and API integrations, as well as project management skills to deliver tasks efficiently and meet company KPIs. You will play a critical role in enhancing our digital platforms to support our educational services/tutoring company.

This position will require strict adherence to Intellectual Property (IP) and Non-Disclosure (NDA) agreements, as all work completed will remain the property of Choice Education Group.

Incentives & Bonuses:
In addition to the base wage, performance-based incentives of up to 25% of your monthly negotiated wage are available. Bonuses will be tied to the completion of key performance indicators (KPIs) and project deliverables, reviewed monthly and paid out quarterly. This provides an opportunity for additional earnings based on your performance and contributions.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive IT support, including troubleshooting, development, and maintenance for internal systems and client-facing platforms.

- Manage and develop applications using CakePHP, ensuring they are optimised for performance and front-end responsiveness.

- Oversee both front-end and back-end development tasks, from planning and design to implementation, while ensuring high standards.

- Conduct regular updates and security upgrades to ensure the integrity and efficiency of systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software tools and databases through API integrations, aligning with company goals.

- Manage the deployment of new applications, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into existing systems.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols across all IT practices.

- Proactively manage project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed within set deadlines and meet agreed-upon KPIs.

-Perform thorough bug testing and provide solutions for system improvements.

-Develop new sites using the latest WordPress standards and best practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Timeliness: Complete tasks within set deadlines or request deadline extensions only in unforeseen circumstances.

Quality of Work: Ensure all deliverables meet industry best practices, including website speed optimization, SEO, and technical standards (e.g., MVC model for CakePHP).

System Performance: Ensure systems and platforms perform as expected and in a timely manner.

Communication & Initiative: Maintain clear, concise communication regarding project status, timelines, and any required resources or system access. Take initiative to proactively solve problems and streamline processes.

Project Management: Effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an IT specialist, with strong expertise in CakePHP and both front-end and back-end development.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and integrate websites and platforms through API integration.

- Experience in project management, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage complex projects efficiently.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues effectively.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
