Automation Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Automation Specialist for a short-term project. The primary objective is to develop and implement a solution that converts data from Google Sheets into automated processes. This project also involves web scraping to collect data from various websites and systematically updating the Google Sheet with the scraped information on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Google Sheet Automation: Develop automation scripts to turn Google Sheets into dynamic, self-updating tools.
Web Scraping: Extract data from designated websites accurately and efficiently.
Data Management: Organize and place scraped data into itemized columns within the Google Sheet.
Regular Updates: Ensure the automation updates the Google Sheet 2-3 times daily, incorporating new information as it becomes available.
Error Handling: Implement robust error-handling mechanisms to manage data discrepancies and automation failures.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the automation processes and scripts.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with Google Sheets and related APIs.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, particularly for automation and web scraping.
Web Scraping Experience: Demonstrated experience in web scraping techniques and tools
Data Management: Excellent skills in organizing and structuring data within spreadsheets.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of data updates.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to handle automation issues.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to document processes and collaborate with team members.
