Engagement Survey Data Analyst I

Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a Data Analyst I to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the CEO of our growing small business by designing, distributing, and analyzing various engagement surveys, including exit interview surveys, pulse surveys, annual employee engagement surveys, and culture surveys. This role requires a blend of data analysis and strong communication skills to drive meaningful insights and improvements in employee engagement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the CEO to assist in designing survey questions that are clear, unbiased, and effective in gathering relevant data.
• Utilize survey software tools to create and deploy surveys.
• Assist in planning and managing the distribution of surveys to ensure maximum participation and response rates.
• Monitor survey progress and send reminders as needed to encourage completion.
• Ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of respondents are maintained throughout the process.
• Compile survey responses using appropriate software and tools.
• Analyze survey data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern.
• Use statistical methods to interpret data and produce meaningful insights.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of survey findings for the CEO.
• Partner with the CEO to provide actionable recommendations based on survey results to improve employee engagement.
• Research best practices and trends in employee engagement and survey methodologies.
• Partner with the CEO to create and improve survey processes and tools to enhance the accuracy and relevance of data collected.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
• Past experience in designing and analyzing employee engagement surveys.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Experience with survey software and tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics).
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Understanding of HR principles and practices, particularly in employee engagement and organizational development.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in HR or data analysis, such as Six Sigma.
• Experience in a corporate environment with a focus on employee engagement initiatives.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
