Remote Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Remote Staff Accountant to Be the Change and exemplify the Culture of Care here at 7 Leaves. This is a unique opportunity for an accounting professional to join a dynamic and growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare, record and approve journal entries entered into Sage Intacct
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of transactions recorded in all general ledger accounts
- Oversee the month-end close and preparation of income statements and balance sheet for multiple locations and entities and meet scheduled closing deadlines
- Review and perform analysis of key accounts
- Ensure all local and state taxes, permits and licenses are calculated accurately and payments, such as business, sales and property taxes, are made in a timely manner
- Assist with all audit requests and work with tax accountant for tax preparation
- Create and maintain supporting financial work papers in an organized manner

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite applications
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledgeable internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Food & Beverage or Hospitality industry experience preferred

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience required

Experience
- Five years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or the food and beverage, coffee and tea, or restaurant industry.
