I am looking for an individual experienced with converting books created in InDesign to EPUB3 format. Extensive experience with InDesign and knowledge of and use of paragraph and character styles, master pages and book design a must. ebook must be cleanly coded and well-formed, passing all validation requirements. This is initially a one-time project, but could lead to ongoing work for the right candidate.

Technical Requirements:
- Extensive experience with InDesign, including proper use of paragraph and character styles, and master pages
- Proficiency in creating well-formed, cleanly coded EPUB3 files
- Ability to ensure compatibility across multiple e-reader platforms (iBooks, Kindle, Adobe Digital Editions, etc.)
- Experience with FlightDeck for ebook validation a plus

Specific Tasks:
- Convert InDesign files to EPUB3 format
- Adapt print design elements for ebook format
- Ensure all links are active
- Remove page numbers from the table of contents
- Maintain proper formatting for chapter titles, images, captions, and callouts
- Integrate metadata

Quality Assurance:
- The final EPUB must pass FlightDeck validation and retailer acceptance checks
- Consistent display across various e-reader platforms is crucial
- I will review the file on multiple devices and may request revisions

Process:
- I will provide packaged InDesign files, a PDF for content flow reference, and the cover file
- You'll convert the content to EPUB3 format
- I'll review the file and provide feedback
- You'll make necessary revisions

Communication Expectations:
- Fluent written English required
- My working hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time (UTC-7). Please provide your time zone and typical availability
- Regular email updates on project progress required
- Clear, prompt communication is essential. Please be prepared to ask questions and seek clarification when needed
- Feedback will be provided via email

Required:
- Sign a subcontractor agreement (including NDA)
- Provide a portfolio of similar ebook conversion projects
- Clearly communicate your process, tools, and testing methods
