Project Manager - Apparel

Overview:
The Technical Designer/Product Developer will report to Director of Product Development and Offshore manufacturing. The position requires extensive knowledge of apparel construction and manage the development process of multiple programs.

Responsibilities:
• Managing design processes from conception through to final styling and production.
• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
• Working with Production Manager and Production Staff Members to determine whether designs are feasible for manufacturing.
• Studying and analyzing design from technical perspectives, specifically involving producing patterns and specifications for designs.
• Keeping up to date with product and service information and updates.


Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or College Degree in Fashion Design or related area [Preferred].
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe (i.e. Illustrator) [Preferred].
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to do sketches by-hand.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Design or Product Development.
• Experience in knitwear is a plus.
• Knowledge of Garment grading and specs.
• Must be able to identify fit issues and find solutions.
