Graphic Designer - Product and Online

East Kentucky Metal is a regional manufacturer of metal roofing and siding products serving commercial and residential customers in Kentucky, USA. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to leverage existing online industry information to create product guides and marketing materials for the products we sell.

As a Graphic Designer with East Kentucky Metal, you will be required to researching product insights from online sources including competitor websites, developing product marketing and informational materials; incorporating existing EKM branding

Key Responsibilities:
1) Design and create informational guides, manuals, and technical documents for various metal roofing and manufacturing processes and products.
2) Collaborate with owner and sales team to gather and understand content requirements.
3) Transform complex technical information into easy-to-understand visual formats, including infographics, diagrams, and illustrations.
4) Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.
5) Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6) Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in graphic design and technical communication.

Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
2) Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
3) Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and previous work on informational guides or technical documents.
4) Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
5) Excellent visual storytelling, layout, and typography skills.
6) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
8) Basic understanding of metal roofing and or manufacturing processes is a plus.

Project Delivery Specific Timeline:
1) Panel Installation Guide (PDF Attached)
1.1) Edits need to be made to graphics, so an expertise in creating drawings of wood, metal, and other construction materials, as well as schematics and diagrams, is necessary. The drawings pictured in the attached PDF are representative of the style/level of detail expected.
2) Product Oder Forms
3) Branding packet with templates for MS Word, MS Powerpoint
4) Trim Assembly Drawings
5) Product photoshop editing for uploading products into ecommerce.
