We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Network Systems Administrator to work with a growing company that needs to renew, upgrade and outsource or internal IT network admin, maintenance and support.
Stan Bond SA Pty Ltd is South Australia's largest wholesaler of Curtains, Blinds, Awnings and Security Doors. Employing around 50 staff, Stan Bond is a growing and exciting company to join. Our customers have come to us for 45 years for internal and external blinds, security products and shower screens and we are proud to offer them not only a quality, locally made product, but also excellent customer service.
We are looking for a committed, part time/casual remote IT Network Systems Administrator to support our office and sales team and become a long-term part of our company.
For 15 years I have managed our IT & Network. I have reasonable skills in this area and it has worked fine. However, a few years ago I moved from a role as Operations Manager to running the whole company. We also started growing very fast and now have 50+ staff and are about to open up a new display centre location.
This growth along with now having multiple locations makes our IT needs more complex. It is no longer a smart decision for me to be the main IT administrator.
Our system includes -
3 incoming ADSL internet lines
PFSense Harware Firewall & Router
Cisco 50 Port Smart Switch (Cisco SG200-50P)
Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller and 1702i Wireless AP’s
Windows 2012 Server (Due a hardware upgrade)
Approx 25 local users across approx 20 local machines (Dell Optiplex mainly)
Asterisk/Freepbx VOIP Server (remotely hosted)
Approx 20 Snom VOIP Handsets
The role would require a person to be able to -
- Design a network plan recommending hardware & software solutions
- Learn & Update the exisiting system and make improvements where necessary
- Provide remote IT Support to staff where issues occur and remotely access PC's where necessary to fix
- Remotely setup new hardware (I would help with the physical/local needs)
- Monitor the network health and security
For the next 2 months approx I can imagine there will be a reasonable amount to do (maybe 20 hours per week) as a network plan was developed, hardware and software purchased and setup onsite.
An applicant would be expected to -
- Be available during 10am - 6pm (Australian Central Time)
- Have experience in Microsoft Office & Google Apps
- Have proven experience and knowledge in common small-medium business hardware, software and setup needs.
- Take initiative and work cooperatively in a team
- Have great time management and organisational skills
- Be able present information neatly and clearly for customers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to multi task and be highly flexible
We believe this is a great opportunity for the right person. The company is growing, experiencing great success and is in an exciting phase. IT is major part of our plans for the coming years and we look forward to having a strong partner to be able to work with us to achieve a strong, secure and reliable IT system.
