As a 3D modeler, your task is to create the characters, vehicles, weapons, props, sets and any other visual elements that can be made in a 3D modeling software. You will have to be equipped with knowledge in topology, design, color theory, anatomy and the 3D art production pipeline. But as a 3D modeler in a game development production, you are also tasked to keep your assets game-ready and to turn it over to the developers for implementation. That being said, you’ll also have to learn the basics of Unity as well as adapt to a file management workflow, such as Git, which works best for our game developers.
Must-Haves:
Proficiency in a 3D Digital Content Creation (DCC) application like Maya, Blender, or 3DSMax (preferably Blender, then Maya).
Would Be Awesome But Not Required:
Basic knowledge of Unity Engine.
