Print / Production Designer

As a Print/Production Designer, you will provide design and layout support for our online publications: Vanguard, Toggle, Blueprint, Vision and Terra Firma.

Position Requirements:
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Have at least 2+ years of experience in graphic design with an online portfolio that demonstrates work experience
• An eye for engaging/creative design (composition, colors, fonts, etc.)
• An interest in magazine layout and design
• Advanced understanding of print and digital production specifications: proofing, packaging files for print, resolution, color, file formats, etc.
• Ability to convert InDesign files into PDFs
• Knowledge of creating/formatting InDesign style sheets
• Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Professional demeanor; may occasionally be asked to speak to vendors and/or clients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (communicate clearly, work as a team, etc.)
• Appreciate quality (and deliver it daily)
• Can provide your own equipment, have reliable internet, and can work Eastern Time zone hours

Software Proficiency Requirements:
• Adobe Creative Suite:
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word

Bonus Skills:
• Familiarity with Adobe PageSuite
• Video production/editing
• Working knowledge of WordPress (updating pages, etc.)

Compensation:
• Pay of $1,000 USD per month to start
