Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly websites using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies
Collaborate with designers to translate design mockups into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or a preferred framework like React or Angular).
Develop dynamic web applications using server-side scripting languages (e.g., Python, PHP, Node.js) and integrate with databases as needed
Optimize website performance for speed, responsiveness, and search engine visibility (SEO).
Implement best practices for website accessibility and security.
Stay up-to-date on emerging web development trends, including the potential of AI-powered website development tools.
Maintain and update existing websites, addressing bugs and implementing new features.
Contribute to a collaborative development environment through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 7 years of experience working as a web developer.
Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Proficiency in additional web technologies relevant to the role (PHP, Node.js, Wordpress, Umbraco).
Experience with responsive web design to ensure websites adapt to various devices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for web development and a continuous learning mindset.
Openness to exploring AI tools for code generation, automation testing, and design assistance.
