JOB OVERVIEW

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the editing process? If so, we want you to join our team as a Video Editing Assistant.

Responsibilities:

- Edit long-form 13 to 15 minute YouTube videos, ensuring they are engaging and polished.

- Find & Curate short-form content from assembled long form videos

- Understand the difference between off-camera talk and on-camera speech to maintain seamless transitions and clear communication.

- Select and incorporate appropriate B-roll, especially with a focus on geographical locations in the Pacific Northwest and Washington State area.

- Maintain high proficiency in English, ensuring all content is grammatically correct and coherent.

- Identify and create engaging short-form content from our long-form videos.

- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute video concepts that align with our brand and vision.

- Utilize advanced editing techniques to enhance video quality, including color correction, audio adjustments, and motion graphics.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment."

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve our video content.


Qualifications:

Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Strong understanding of video storytelling and pacing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with geographical locations and the ability to select appropriate B-roll for specific regions, particularly the Pacific Northwest and Washington State area.

We will provide you with a set of raw clips to assemble into a full-length video and then curate short-form content from. Your ability to cleanly assemble the clips and yield a high amount of short-form content from the long-form edit will determine if you qualify.
