Are you a Senior Web Developer/PHP Programming EXPERT?

We are looking for one or more Senior Web Developers/PHP Programming Experts to build Magento Commerce extensions and LAMP-based Rich Internet Applications (RIA, SaaS) that combine data from various APIs.

The person we are looking for is an EXPERT at building web applications using Object Oriented Programming with PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and XML, XSLT, XHTML and CSS. This is not your average webmaster job, this job is for the TOP 1% of highly experienced, fast, savvy, and professional coders. Only apply if you know you got what it takes.

REQUIRED:
- Expert senior web developer, top 1%
- At least 5 years of work experience in software/web development
- At least 3 years directly relevant full-time first-hand application development experience:
    - Strong knowledge of PHP
    - Strong knowledge of MySQL and database design
- Proven track record of developing applications within time/budget/quality.
- Proven ability to self-manage projects through the complete software lifecycle.
- Extensive familiarity with software design techniques, testing plans and procedures, and deployment practices which ensure clean documented code, excellent quality, performance, scalability, and availability of the web applications
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with designers to create great looking web applications
- Experience creating clean, user-friendly, intuitive UI
- Self-starter who is user-obsessed, detail-oriented, and has the desire and ability to out-innovate anyone else in our field
- Strong written and oral English communication and documentation skills

DESIRED:
- Experience with Magento Commerce (Zend Framework)
- College degree in Computer Science or similar is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with programming in Python

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain Magento Commerce extensions and new Rich Internet Applications using the most modern web development techniques that are cross-browser compatible, W3C compliant and highly scalable
- Develop Internet applications from idea through planning, design, proof-of-concept, implementation, testing, staging, and maintenance, with little or no supervision
- Great skill at writing clean and well-documented code
- Research and track new technologies and make recommendations which technologies to use
- Make suggestions for continuous improvement of development and design processes to optimize productivity
- Recommend enhancements to web applications and extensions.
- Assist in defining software development and testing standards
- Keep yourself up-to-date with the latest technologies and continuously improve your programming skills
