Experienced Podcast Editor with Perfect English

The Attract Clients Now organization is helping hire for our peer podcasting organization, Awkward Sage Media.

We seek a skilled and meticulous Podcast Editor to join our dynamic media production team.

As a Podcast Editor for our studio, your primary role will be to handle the technical and creative aspects of podcast production to ensure the delivery of high-quality audio content that meets our standards and the expectations of our audiences. Your responsibilities will include editing, mixing, and enhancing audio recordings as well as collaborating with our podcast producers to create compelling and polished final products.

Podcast Editor Duties and Responsibilities:

* Edit and mix podcast episodes to remove errors, enhance sound quality, and ensure overall audio consistency.
* Work closely with podcast producers to realize the desired narrative and tone for each episode.
* Implement sound design elements to podcasts, including music, sound effects, and other audio enhancements.
* Manage audio archives and organize all raw and final audio files efficiently.
* Coordinate with the production team to meet episode release schedules and maintain a pipeline of upcoming episodes.
* Monitor audio quality and implement new audio technologies and techniques to improve production values.

Requirements:
* Proven experience in audio editing and production, preferably in a podcast or broadcast environment.
* Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript, or Pro Tools.
* Excellent ear for audio quality and a keen attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple episodes and projects.
* Experience with remote recording setups and audio restoration tools.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with hosts, guests, and production tea ---------- mbers.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.

About the Position:

This role offers the opportunity to start by mastering specific editing tasks and gradually take on more comprehensive production responsibilities. The goal for this position is to ensure high-quality production across all podcast episodes, oversee audio consistency, and swiftly manage post-production processes.

The Podcast Editor will need to quickly become familiar with the thematic and technical aspects of each series to maintain and enhance the quality of our shows.

This position requires flexibility to work according to project needs, starting with part-time hours (10-15 hours per week) with the potential to expand to full-time based on performance and production demands. Flexible working hours, but should have at least 2-3 hours of overlap with the Eastern Time Zone work hours (9 am -5 pm EST) per week to allow for weekly synchronization with the rest of the production team.
