Web Developer

We are seeking a talented web developer to join our team on a project basis. This role involves creating two websites -one for an appraisal company and a website for a company heavily involved in the exploration of oil and gas. Flexibility in scheduling is offered, with availability required during CST for collaborative brainstorming sessions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for two web platforms tailored to our company's appraisal and exploration needs.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Optimize performance and scalability of existing platforms through code refactoring and infrastructure improvements.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth operation of web platforms and applications.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve our web development processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Provide technical support and assistance to internal users as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)- Preferred
Proven experience in web development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Strong understanding of server-side programming languages such as Node.js, PHP, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience with content management systems (CMS) or e-learning platforms is a plus.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
