About Us:

Our company is a US-based e-commerce business with over 800 products, an engaged Facebook and Instagram community, and a content blog in the beekeeping space. We utilize Shopify, WordPress, Walmart, and Amazon for our business. Our business is established, and while we are an e-commerce business, we also have a brick-and-mortar store. We started in 2014 as an online business, expanded into Amazon in 2019, and opened a physical store in 2021.

We have tens of thousands of orders a year with many moving parts, but our team is small. And we are expanding our offering into wholesale and developing new websites and brands.


Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Freelance Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a Web Developer. You will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing our WordPress and Shopify websites. Additionally, you will be tasked with ad hoc tasks, etc., as we grow.

Responsibilities:

Back up WordPress websites to Google Drive monthly.
Back up Shopify websites to Google Drive every two weeks.
Work in Bluehost or Shopify to troubleshoot/update DMARC, PHP, etc.
Be on call for significant website issues.
Build basic web pages such as Contact Us, About Us, Coupons pages, etc.
Troubleshoot WordPress plugins when they are not working.
Optimizing website performance: This includes improving page load times, optimizing images, and ensuring overall website speed.
Implementing SEO best practices: This involves optimizing website content, meta tags, and structure to improve search engine rankings.
Integrating third-party services: This includes integrating payment gateways, email marketing services, and other third-party tools or APIs.
Updating website content: Regularly updating website content, such as text, images, and videos, to keep it fresh and relevant.
Monitoring website analytics: Using tools like Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and other key metrics.
Security monitoring and updates: Regularly updating website software, plugins, and security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
Providing technical support: Assisting users with technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing guidance on website usage.
Collaborating with designers and content creators: Working closely with graphic designers, content writers, and other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to ensure the website meets design and content requirements.


Preferred Qualifications: Please do not apply if you do not have these qualifications

2 years of experience working with Shopify
2 years of full-time experience working with WordPress
Excellent understanding of web design for e-commerce
The Ideal Candidate has experience working with Shopify Plus and a firm understanding of using liquid and the industry's best practices for website speed.
