We are a growing residential renovation and real-estate development business seeking a motivated bookkeeper.
We also have a small but growing property management company.
Our growth requires us to add a professional bookkeeper to work with us. This role coordinates with property and construction personnel, the accounting lead, as well as the owners. This is a hands-on position. You are responsible for the daily bookkeeping operations of various properties and various companies. In addition, you will support our on-site staff as it relates to all accounting/bookkeeping questions and systems.
Primary Responsibilities (other duties or special projects may be assigned):
Manage monthly accounting cycles, payables & receivables
Review Rent roll and Gross Potential Rent and record adjustment
Document issues and resolution for procedure guidance and help to improve the process
Assembly of necessary reports and information as needed
Credit card reconciliation
Entering bills, checks and applying customer payments
Reconciling Credit Card accounts and making journal entries
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills and Requirements:
Must speak, and write english perfectly.
Must have experience in CANADIAN REAL ESTATE bookkeeping!
Accounting Degree
5 years of experience with receivables and payables
5 Years of experience bookkeeping
5 years of Quickbooks experience
Knowledge of Yardi or comparable property management and accounting software is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office, One Drive, or Google Docs
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
Strong analytical and organizational skills

Deadline-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
