JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Video Editor
Job Summary:
The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting or distribution. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. This is a key role in the post-production process and requires a strong sense of storytelling and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list and d ---------- on the sequence of scenes according to the overall narrative.
Cutting footage and assembling it into a seamless final product.
Adding music, sound effects, and dialogue to enhance the viewing experience.
Applying graphical and visual effects to enhance the video.
Collaborating with directors, producers, and other tea ---------- mbers to understand and achieve the desired outcome.
Ensuring the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
Adjusting color, lighting, and audio as needed to improve quality.
Exporting video projects in various formats for different platforms.
Managing and organizing all video assets.
Keeping up-to-date with editing software and industry trends.
Required skills and qualifications:
Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio.
Expertise in editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
Strong understanding of post-production workflows and processes.
Excellent sense of pacing and timing in storytelling.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
