I own a network of 10+ wordpress product review websites and am looking for a VA to help with adding/updating content on an ongoing basis.
I have writers who create content but now need someone to take over the adding of the content to the sites and making it look great! I will also want you to audit content on an ongoing basis to keep the sites up-to-date ie to find products that are no longer readily available and research new products to review.
Content to be added will include
• Product reviews
• Buying guides
• “Best 5 products for under £200” type posts
• Comparison charts
• Blog posts
To give you an idea of the kind of content I am looking for please check this sample post

Please note – I won’t be offended if you can do a better than me, many people can!
Skills required
• An understanding of how wordpress works and the ability to add and schedule posts & pages etc.
• I understand that English won’t be your first language but a good grasp of it will be very helpful. My writers often make grammatical errors and typos and I would ideally like you to be able to spot and correct these without needing to check with me.
• Basic graphic design skills to edit/add and re-size images as well as adding text etc to the images. I currently use canva.com for this.
• The ability to format text using standard wordpress functionality as well as shortcodes etc. This will include title tags, bullet points, boxes, tabs etc
• The ability to manage categories, tags etc.
• An understanding of how wordpress plugins and widgets work and the ability to add/implement them.
• An understanding of internal and external linking including use of the rel=”nofollow’ attribute.
• An understanding of link-cloaking ie replacing affiliate links with clean-looking links using a plugin like ‘Redirection’.
• The ability to add/update meta data ie page title, description
• The ability to embed videos from YouTube etc
• The ability to research products for yourself and understand what the key buying triggers would be for consumers ie is it the best, the cheapest, going to last a long time etc?
Skills that would be nice to have but aren’t essential
• An understanding of SEO including Google algorithm updates post 2012 ie Penguin, Panda, Hummingbird etc
• An understanding of affiliate marketing and outbound linking strategies.
• Social media skills and the ability to build up the individual site accounts and pages.
Ideally I would like to hire someone who has (or has had) their own blogs and can demonstrate the ability to make content look fantastic whilst also being search engine-friendly.
I have methods and processes that I use and full training will be given, but I am happy to hear your ideas. I don’t claim to be a wordpress expert so I will be more than happy for you to bring new skills to the project.
