Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Content Writer to produce high-quality content across various platforms. This will be a part time position (up to 20 hrs/week), but can transition to full time depending upon performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives, conducting in-depth research, and producing content that resonates with our target audience. This role will play a key part in producing engaging content, shaping our brand voice, and ensuring consistency across all channels with the goal of driving as much traffic (via search engines) and engagement.
Role/Responsibilities
- Develop engaging content strategies aligned with company objectives and target audience.
- Write and edit a variety of content primarily articles and/or blog posts. But occasionally may include whitepapers, case studies, website copy, social media posts, and
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market insights, and competitor analysis to inform content creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and product to ensure content aligns with overall brand messaging and objectives.
- Optimize content for SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility and drive traffic to our digital properties.
- Monitor content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and optimize engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in content marketing, digital media, and technology to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field is required.
- Available at least 20 hrs. a week to work as part time (may transition to full time in the future)
- At least 1-2 years experience in article/blog writing is required, preferably (but not required) in automotive repair or a related field.
- Experience in copywriting, content writing for website copy, social media posts, and
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Strong research skills and the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
- Experience with productivity tools such Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint) and Google WorkSpace (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drive) is a plus.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines when needed.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
