Safety Officer

Position Overview:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety protocols and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and risks.
Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans.
Provide safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions.
Stay informed about new safety regulations, technologies, and trends to continuously improve safety performance.
Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits as necessary.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees through communication, recognition, and incentives.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure readiness for potential incidents.
