Insurance Verification

Our optometry office is looking to fill a part time insurance verification position. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical terminology and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities:
Verifying patient’s insurance coverage for routine eye exam or testing and procedures using various online resources.
Review and interpret patient benefits and communicate if a referral or prior authorization is needed for service.
Collect, verify and enter all insurance resources/documents into system.
Work closely with tea ---------- mbers to explain the patient's financial responsibility.
