Senior Blog Writing Editor

We need somebody with extremely fluent English writing who can edit and fact-check blogs that we produce for multiple clients. The blogs vary in topic. Some are for law, tech, sports, and general writing. You will be tasked with a few articles to review each day. Each article won't take too long. Additional tasks and responsibilities will include providing feedback to writers & uploading content to WordPress websites. We need someone really incredible. A very long-term opportunity here to stay with a team that is here to support you.

Editor:
Review and edit the content submitted by the writer for clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines.
Provide constructive feedback to the writer for revisions and improvements.
Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all content pieces.
Collaborate with the writer to resolve any discrepancies or issues in the content.
Approve the final draft for publication upon satisfactory revisions.
Create meta titles and descriptions for each article to optimize search engine visibility and improve click-through rates.
Generate thumbnails using Midjourney or select appropriate splash images (for PorterLaw only) to accompany the articles, enhancing visual appeal and engagement.
Upload approved articles on WordPress and familiarize oneself with the platform's functionalities for seamless publication.
Edit articles as needed to ensure accuracy, coherence, and alignment with editorial standards and guidelines.
Utilize SEO knowledge for keyword optimization.
Conduct fact-checking to maintain content accuracy and credibility.
Provide weekly performance reports for each writer, tracking metrics such as productivity, quality, and adherence to deadlines. Alternatively, consider conducting monthly performance reviews to assess overall performance.
