Web Developer (work remotely)

We are an Australian based business providing B2B digital solutions including web development.

We are looking for a very efficient, hands-on Developer with the ability to take ownership and execute ongoing and new project engagements. This position will be based remotely for Part-time/Freelance with potential to be contract based on performance.

Responsibilities as follows but not limited to:

• Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, Magento, BigCommerce and custom web & mobile dev : Build, make enhancements, execute bug fixes to websites – site layout, menus, content, be familiar with themes and plug-in solutions
• Use HTML and CSS to build Responsive websites
• Be able to provide ongoing recommendations for site updates and user experience improvements
• Discovery – Help determine requirements and functionality for projects
• Estimation – Time estimate to accomplish a project and comply to it
• Scope Plan - Create a detailed project plan that breaks final deliverable down into steps
• Develop – Write highly optimized codes where required
• Test – Document case studies (identify issue, resolve it, and document results)
• Manage – Manage your projects, communicate updates and manage your time
• Ability to train onsite maintenance after launch has been successfully executed when required

Requirements include:

• Functional knowledge with Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, Magento, BigCommerce and custom web & mobile content
• Experienced in mobile development, Android & iOS a plus
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery; PHP, MySQL
• Must have design experience: Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks to create images optimized for the web
• Experience with categorizing SKU’s for websites and working with shopping carts
• Experience in Payment Processing integration (Stripe, Paypal, Authorize.net)
• A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Expert in designing and improving UI and user experience through A/B testing, with thorough knowledge or best practices and analytics reporting
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser functionality and modern web & mobile standard
• A portfolio showcasing eCommerce abilities
• Willingness to participate in after-hour and on-call support as needed
• Proactive, able to define and execute projects independently
• Highly organized, complete projects ahead of deadlines and produce works of high standards
• Ability to work remotely with little-to-no supervision is a must and Fluent in English
