Senior Writer for Growing Entertainment/Viral Content Website

We are looking for an experienced and imaginative writer to join our publishing team for a fast-growing site in the viral/entertainment niche for a 3 month term that will lead to consideration for a full-time position. The person in this role will report to the Chief Editor, focusing on generating viral content and curating trending viral stories daily for our broad audience that has great “share” appeal.

I'm looking forward to hiring multiple people for this writing position.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pitch viral story ideas to our editor on a daily basis
- Create 3-5 curated articles per day with optimized headline and thumbnail in Wordpress
Each article will be around 400-1000 words.

- Syndicate and repost created stories across our social platforms

- Research internet trends and work closely with the editor to keep content pipeline filled with new stories.


REQUIREMENTS
- FLUENT or Native English with a high standard of grammar/formatting.
- Are able to work in Wordpress well and know what to do with little training/supervision.
- The desire to tell a good story. From the headline to the conclusion message, your mission is to keep readers invested, entertained, and inspired. Nothing matters to you more than writing something worth reading and sharing.
- A genuine love and talent for all things social. You are an absolute social media maven. You think about top ten lists, memes, old viral video classics and new videos you’d want to share all the time. You’re active on twitter, Facebook, reddit, Instagram, and Snapchat.
- The ability to thrive under tight deadlines. You are a highly efficient team player who has a sense of urgency and tends towards productivity – you get more done than anyone else you know and your work is spotless.


We would like each potential hire to submit some sample content to show their ability with content curation and story research. This is easy. Please forward your Skype ID and a content story idea , based on your own research or an existing article to then rewrite into your own words with a new headline and a feel that will appeal to a 45+ female audience
