Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and reports, performing bookkeeping duties such as recording transactions, processing payments, and monthly reconciliation of bank records and financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month according to GAAP.
2. Monitor Financial Transactions: Track and manage incoming payments and outgoing expenses. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
3. Prepare Financial Reports: Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements and reports. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices and bills, ensure timely payment of invoices, and monitor accounts receivable for prompt payment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
Work Environment:
Work from home and grave yard hours.
