Job Summary:
As a social media video editor, you will create and edit short-form videos for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. The role of a social media video editor is to create engaging and high-quality videos that resonate with the audience of the specific platform.
The responsibilities of a social media video editor may include:
- Editing and compiling video footage to create a cohesive narrative.
- Adding special effects, graphics, and sound effects
- Selecting appropriate music and soundtracks
- Creating attention-grabbing video thumbnails
Adhering to brand guidelines and creating videos that align with the brand's values and messaging..
- Stay updated on the latest trends and features of social media platforms to create videos that perform well.
Requirements:
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Cap Cut.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
- Knowledgeable about social media platforms and their video requirements.
- A degree in video production, film, or media studies is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Self-taught individuals with a strong portfolio or those who have learned through online courses and tutorials are welcome.
