We are looking for a Virtual Assistant (VA) to help the Owner in growing the visibility and reach of the company, through: researching and initiating conversations with new collaborators and organizations; pitching the Owner for speaking engagements such as podcasts, virtual summits, and webinars; handling the scheduling and logistics of speaking engagements; and supporting outreach and engagement in online communities and on social media.

This is a fully remote, part-time (5 hr/week) position. Work hours are flexible, but you will need to be available for at least 30 minutes per day (Monday-Friday) during Eastern Time (New York) business hours (with some days requiring more hours). This is so you can monitor company-provided inbox daily for pitch/collaboration replies, and communicate daily with the Owner and team members. You may occasionally be required to attend meetings outside of normal business hours. We expect this position to grow over time, and there is the potential to take on additional responsibilities with increased hours and pay as appropriate.
This role can be broken into three main focus areas:
Initiate
Collaborate
Engage
1: INITIATE
Research new potential partners and organizations for collaboration, with the aim of audience growth. This also includes researching online communities or other places where our ideal clients are discussing and learning about business-related topics. Once identified, with support from the Owner, initiate conversations with these collaborators.
2: COLLABORATE
Manage the scheduling and logistics of speaking events or other promotional events that come out of the collaboration discussions. Work with other team members when needed to ensure necessary assets are ready (landing pages, lead magnets, coupons, etc.). Track results of collaborations (i.e. clicks, downloads, subscribers, etc.) and regularly report to Owner.
3: ENGAGE
Support the Owner with engagement in online communities and other live events to connect with more people. Share various resources (blogs, lead magnets, courses, etc.) as appropriate.
The Day-to-Day
We use Project Management software called Wrike. We track all tasks within this platform and collaborate on projects here.
The VA will have a “To Do” list within Wrike where assigned tasks will appear. Assigned tasks will include a video and/or written description of what needs to be accomplished. The VA will review the task instructions and ask questions as a comment within the task. Tasks should be completed by the due date, and the VA will notify the Owner via a comment on the task when the task is complete, asking for a review of the work.
Tasks will be added to the task list by the Owner or other team members, and the VA is also expected to add new tasks to the list as they come up (i.e. from discussions,
Each week or as needed, the VA and Owner will meet to review the task list, discuss roadblocks or questions, and add new tasks to the list.
In between meetings, the VA will work on tasks, ask questions, notify the Owner of task completion, and always keep the task list up-to-date (so tasks do not become overdue).
Example Miscellaneous Tasks
The types of tasks the VA will be responsible for may include (this is not an exhaustive list):
Find new podcasts for Owner to guest speak on
Send (via
Research conferences and online event opportunities throughout the year for the Owner to speak at
Gather information to determine ideal collaborators, using a set criteria for evaluation, and provide recommendations

Monitor online communities for posts to comment on/engage with and coordinate responses with Owner
Manage high-priority affiliates (track commitments for launches, follow ups, schedule affiliate events, track progress during launches)
If you have a passion for networking and helping businesses reach more people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
