Full-Time Short-Form Video Editor (MUST SEND PORTFOLIO TO BE CONSIDER)

We are seeking a talented, high-performing video editor who has deep knowledge and experience with vertical video, specifically TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts. We are looking for fast-paced editing that keeps viewers engaged while sourcing various clips to maintain interest. We will be able to train to our specifications, but a foundational talent and understanding is necessary.

Balancing strategy and creativity is what you do best. You understand the best practices of the hook, pacing, structure, music, and graphic needs to produce top-tier Short Form content week after week. You’ve done this before at a high level and are able to show the trackable progress you made on previous accounts you’ve worked on.

Responsibilities/Expectations

Must have experience in Video Editing (any software you are comfortable with is fine)
Timely delivery of video projects after sources are provided
Turnaround time of 1 to 2 business days per video
Expected volume 10 to 15 short-form videos per week
Must have a good written and oral understanding of English to receive edits and instructions
Deep understanding of social media platforms (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.)
Skilled in finding and sourcing clips that are relevant to any topic (stock footage generally not accepted)
Demonstrates an interest in internet culture, recent pop culture news, and emerging trends
Deep understanding of short-form content – hooks, storytelling, pacing, and strategy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven success on short-form content as the editor for growing accounts
Speed and clarity in communication (primarily in Slack)
Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change
2+ years of relevant experience in short-form video production

The next round of interviews would include showing the videos listed on your portfolio INSIDE your editing software and playing them through there so we could walk through your editing style and test your ability to take direction, so please keep this in mind.
