To apply for this job, you must pass a test.
The instructions are included in this post.
This job is occasional, HOURLY - I maybe have a project every month or two. But not all the time or even part time.
There will not be regular work (at least not at first)
But the work relationship could go on for many years and could grow.
I can train you in how to use the conversion codes it you're already good and experienced with web development, and if you’re a good learner. Finding someone who has the web dev skills already are more important than finding someone who's skilled at the conversion and tracking code. Keep reading …
When you reply or submit your application, write on the first line "I passed the test"
I am a PPC consultant working with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, BING, Facebook and other PPC and Tracking software quite frequently. Sometimes I also use 3rd party tracking, for example "CallRail" 3rd party call tracking.
Every time I have a client there is one or more kinds of tracking code that has to be installed in their web site, or web pages, or landing pages. Just Google AdWords alone has many different kinds of tracking: Conversion Actions, On-Site Call Tracking, GLCID form integration, remarketing tags, and more.
AdWords is the most important to me.
Also the Facebook Conversion Pixel
And Google Analytics
I am good at creating and installing the codes but I don't have enough time to do it. I want to work continually with someone I can trust who will install these codes for me. The biggest problem is not the tracking codes. The problem is that every client I work with has different kinds of software.
For example I have worked with WordPress, Magento, BigCommerce, Custom PHP landing pages, InstaPage, LeadPages, DotNetNuke, WooCommerce, and more.
I need you to be someone who has worked with lots of different kinds of websites, hopefully for a long time, so that you are very comfortable with how the different platforms work and how they operate, and won't accidentally break my client's websites while adding the code.
You will probably need to have some skill with HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript in order to integrate the codes and forms properly.
As another example, in WordPress, sometimes we can use a plugin, other times you'll have to edit the WordPress template.
If you are this kind of person that can listen, learn, do good work, take care and take some of this load off my shoulders, at the bottom of your application write “I’m a good listener”.
Not ALL tasks have to be done fast, but there will be a lot of work that must be done quickly (within a day or two).
When you write your response, please tell me as much about your web development or programming experience and skills as possible.
I will want to see and approve your work some times, but the more comfortable I get with your work, the less I will manage what you are doing -- I will just tell you what needs to be done and that's all.
I will communicate with you via email and Skype. At some point I will have a project management system as well.
You are welcome to ask me as many questions about the job as you like to.
Please send me your email address and Skype ID so I can interview you for the job.
Thanks!
Jonathan
P.S. if you are very good with setting up and managing Google Analytics or other Google properties (such as "Google Search Console", or "Google My Business"), that would be an excellent benefit as well!
P.P.S. if you have experience with "Google Tag Manger", that would be GREAT, it is a skill I sometimes need but I haven't had time to learn. You would need to be able to understand G.T.M. so well that you can teach me and discuss its proper usage with me. GTM is not a requirement for this job but it would go very well with it and be a wonderful benefit.
