Part-Time Bookkeeper (QuickBooks) for e-commerce owner

Are you a Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks? We're seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions, generate standard business reports, and assist in annual tax preparation, particularly within the Shopify e-commerce business model. Bank and credit card transactions of less than 100 per month.

There will be a backlog of transactions starting from January 2023 that must be managed and reported on.

Salary: $5/hour

Job Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Manage and file sales tax returns, including accurate calculation and timely submission.
Perform general accounting duties, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.

Requirements:

Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Experience with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not mandatory.
