Plumbing Estimator MEP

We are searching for a Plumbing Estimator to review blueprints, construction bid documents and architectural specifications in order to prepare detailed and accurate estimates and take-offs for MEP projects (HVAC).

Responsibilities:
• Calculate labor, material and equipment costs to draft an estimate and bid proposal.
• Prepare estimate prices on change orders for ongoing projects.
• Obtain quotes from material suppliers, subcontractors and specialty manufacturers to complete a materials and labor take-off.
• Prepare required bid forms and documents.
• Complete work in a timely manner to meet bid schedules.
• Respond to tea ---------- mbers in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Background in Engineering, Detailing or 3D BIM Modeling.
• Previous work experience in estimating, project management or drafting is more important than a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years experience estimating MEP projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols and construction plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of plumbing code, means and methods.
• Previous experience using design/detailing software is preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
