Amazon Product Sourcing & Listing Expert
We are looking for an Amazon Product Sourcing & Listing Expert who is excited about finding, helping to develop and sell high quality products online. This is a role that will support Broad Brook Venture’s eCommerce business unit, which is a collection of brands predominantly selling on Amazon FBA. The best candidates for this role enjoy wearing many different hats, but especially like researching, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, as well as testing hypotheses to come up with the best product listings possible. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in using the latest Amazon software to find product niches that have an unmet need, and creating product listings that will convert.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in using software like Jungle Scout and Helium10 to source new product ideas, and have the ability to explain using market data why they are good ideas to pursue
- Create competitive landscape matrices to understand the current products in a given niche
- Run review studies to identify top reasons people love/hate current products, and use that to identify key product improvements and feature highlights
- Find and communicate with potential suppliers to identify which supplier can produce a product to our exact specifications, and what the final per units costs are
- Ability to calculate potential profitability of a product
- Create launch plan checklists and calendars based off current SOPs
- Work with graphic designers to produce beautiful infographics and A+ content that convert
- Run image testing to identify the best infographics to list, as well as ensure the images are effectively communicating our desired messaging
- Do keyword research using a variety of tools to identify each product’s top keywords to pursue
- Write Amazon copy (titles, bullets, descriptions) based on keyword research
- Use reports from Seller Central to identify product niche benchmark conversion rates
- Create and manage a daily KPI tracker to measure performance of given products
- Set up and manage Amazon product listings
Requirements
- Great communication (verbal and written) skills is a must
- Desire to wear many different hats – while the above are the core responsibilities, we are a small team and periodically need help within other departments
- Previous experience using tools such as Jungle Scout’s Opportunity Finder, Data Dive or Helium10’s Black Box
- Previous experience using Amazon Seller Central
- Previous experience using tools such as Helium10 to optimize an Amazon product listing
- Creative problem solver that loves rolling up their sleeves and getting work done
- Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (in New York time)
- Bonus: Previous experience finding suppliers using Alibaba
- Bonus: Previous experience running and managing A/B tests
