Position Overview:
Career College of the Pacific Hawaii is in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Medical Billing and Coding Instructor. The selected individual will guide students through the complexities of medical billing and coding, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a thriving career in healthcare. This position demands a robust blend of practical experience and teaching prowess, all within an online learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging, comprehensive course material related to medical billing and coding.
Facilitate online classes, ensuring an interactive and constructive learning environment.
Evaluate and provide feedback on students' assignments and examinations.
Offer support, mentorship, and career advice to students.
Stay updated with industry trends and updates to keep the curriculum relevant and up-to-date.
Coordinate with external healthcare entities for potential student externships and practical experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification: NHA Certification or equivalent in Medical Billing and Coding.
Teaching Experience: Proven track record of effective teaching in related fields.
LMS Proficiency: Solid experience utilizing Canvas Learning Management
Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language, both written and
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of online teaching and various learning styles of students.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with tea
