Overview of Job Description:
The Packaging Structural Designer is responsible for creating custom corrugated packaging concepts based on customer requirements.
The Designer must be proficient in the use 2D Software-Artios CAD, for packaging design and development for gift packaging. Must have the ability to create, manage and track all work in progress to maintain timelines for project completion.
The Designer will work with the Design, and Sales teams to develop new products.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be a cool, calm and collective individual that wants to have fun, learn and grow with the crew.
• Design/Create structural die lines in ArtiosCAD for: SBS, Corrugated material.
• Possess the ability to drive projects to completion in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Work both independently and as part of a team with a helpful and cooperative attitude and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prepare/edit/convert files (PDF, JPG, PNG, EPS, etc.).
• Maintain the files for organization, storage and revisions for all design specifications for production.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have reliable PC/MAC computer with access to internet (and backup internet source, if needed).

Administrative and Other Responsibilities:
• Attend tea ---------- etings to know design agenda and presentation deadlines.
• Review and manage emails (if any).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be able to demonstrate the following qualities: Creativity, organization, ability to multi- task and problem-solve.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to convey concepts with quick sketches and creative 2D problem solving skills.
Knowledge of:
• MS Office computer skills: Excel, and Outlook. Must be highly proficient in Excel and Price/Cost Analysis.
• High level of proficiency in the use of 2D Artios CAD
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator 3D Studio plugin or similar.
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (preferred but not required).
Education:
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
• Trained on full use of Artios CAD (2D) 3D is a +.
Experience:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a package design.
• Design experience in a creative field with packaging/manufacturing environment.
Office hours:
• Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (PST)
• Part-time
Hourly Wage:
• $10/hour
