-Providing advice on the management of projects
-Creating and leading the various professional people working on a project
-Coordinating work done by different people
-Carrying out risk assessment; considering the risks and managing said risks
-Making sure the project delivers the expected outcomes and benefits
-Using software to keep track of people and progress
