Responsibilities: As a Billing Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. Your responsibilities will include:

- Accurate Data Entry: Enter patient and caregiver data into billing systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Medicaid Billing: Prepare and submit Medicaid billing claims to the state, ensuring compliance with regulations and timelines.
- Authorization Management: Monitor patient authorizations and ensure that billing is in line with the authorized hours of care.
- Exception Handling: Identify situations when billing is not applicable, such as patient hospitalization or vacation, and exclude those hours from billing.
- Data Verification: Regularly review billing data to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of billing transactions and supporting documents.
- Problem Resolution: Address any billing errors or rejections promptly, troubleshoot issues, and work to resolve them.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Minimum of one year prior experience in Medicaid data entry.
2. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
3. Knowledge of Medicaid billing regulations and procedures.
4. Knowledge of HHAeXchange, Rosemark, and other industry software experience is a plus.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and data entry software.
