Shopify Technical Blog Writer

Technical Blog Writer with strong Shopify experience needed.

We are looking for a technical blog writer with intermediate to expert Shopify experience who is comfortable updating blog posts about various Shopify directions including step-by-step how-to posts and taking screenshots within the Shopify platform. You should have an in-depth understanding of Shopify themes, apps, and liquid.

The chosen candidate should have strong English language skills, including some writing, and also know how to update and modify both backend and frontend of Shopify themes. They must also know how to set up analytics, edit liquid, install apps, and complete general troubleshooting.

Shopify Expert Responsibilities

- Update Shopify how-to blog posts with new 2023/2024 platform information.
- Create new blog posts that include Shopify information and directions.

Requirements

- Must have maintenance, launch, and shop construction expertise and also have a general understanding of the admin system.
- Must have strong English language skills including speaking and some writing.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, DOM, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery is a plus.
- Has previous experience in Storefront API and working with custom themes.
- Has working knowledge in liquid templating and theming systems of Shopify.
- Must carry working knowledge of Shopify properties or objects, Meta fields, and AJAX API.

Job Details

- Part-time, less than 10 hours per week, project based
- We primarily communicate in english via the Slack platform
