Full Time Web Developer & Maintainer Role Available Now Working for Australian Web Design Agency - Start ASAP!

We’re an Australian based website design company looking for someone to assist us with current web design/build and maintenance projects. The successful applicant will be paid $115 US Dollars per week for the first 4 week trial period and then depending on performance the weekly rate will rise to $150 US Dollars per month. We will be reserving the right to cancel employment if standards don’t meet our company objectives.

In general we provide all customised PSD files for new website projects for slicing to WP.

Some of the first projects we would like assistance with is standard website maintenance and upgrades to our current customers websites. An example of some of the sites we’re either designing, developing, upgrading or maintaining are:

www.vipdeals360.com – S2 membership site (WP) linked to Authorize.net

www.elmers.com.au – A large site that requires regular competition pages to be loaded – built in the ModX CMS.

Skills the successful candidate will have:
1. Ability to turn a PSD file (design) into a working html or CMS page.
2. Ability to quickly learn how to manipulate and use different CMS products. (ModX, CS Cart, WordPress)
3. Have good working knowledge of HTML and PHP.
4. Will have a good working knowledge of Photoshop.
5. Will have a good working knowledge of Dreamweaver.
6. Will be creative when it comes to web page design and graphic design.
7. Will have good English reading and writing skills.
8. Will be able to be contacted at all times during working hours by phone, Skype or email.
9. Will check in with our Australian office at the start of the work day.
10. Will provide a daily report of tasks achieved, problems encountered and assistance required.
11. Will understand how to create online forms for web pages.
12. Will have a good understanding and working knowledge of Word Press.
13. Will have good FTP skills.
14. Will not have a second job that interferes with this position.
15. Will be able to create membership areas on websites using WP plug ins.

One of the main requirements other than expertise in web design/web building is good communication. I need to be kept up to date on progress so that I can report back accurately to our customers in near real time. So daily reporting is required in this position. You will not be allowed to work for a competitor in Australia at all and you will not be allowed to work for anyone else during your normal working hours for us. You can have weekends and public holidays off and two weeks paid leave per year.
