We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Remote Assistant - Procurement Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our procurement processes, ensuring cost-efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards in the acquisition of goods and services. Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement remote procurement strategies aligned with company goals, including sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers and manage vendor relationships virtually.
• Purchase Management:
- Virtually oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitions.
- Review and approve purchase orders and procurement requests.
• Cost Control:
- Monitor and analyze remote procurement expenses.
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality.
• Supplier Management:
- Communication with vendors.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and optimize partnerships.
- Coordinate functions like production, shipping and logistics.
• Quality Assurance:
- Ensure purchased items meet quality standards by implementing virtual quality control measures.
- Handle any quality-related issues with suppliers remotely.
• Documentation and Reporting:
- Work docket creation.
- Maintain organized records of procurement activities and invoices.
- Generate reports.
• Remote Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with various departments or teams through virtual meetings and communication tools.
- Facilitate remote cross-functional discussions to align on process improvements and project assignments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar procurement role, with remote work capabilities, executive assistant experiences as an asset.
- Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, supplier evaluation.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent virtual communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
