Hey jobseekers, we are in need of an Experienced Construction Estimator for Commercial Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation & Bidding: Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
2. Take-offs: Conduct detailed take-offs for various construction elements, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
3. Project Analysis: Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
4. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure the availability of materials and labor.
5. Proposal Development: Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
6. Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies.
7. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest construction trends, pricing, and best practices in the California market.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Specific experience in the California construction market is a must
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating and take-offs.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with California building codes and regulations.
