Position Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our constantly growing team. The QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring nursing and therapy notes are submitted, checked for completion and accuracy, and coordinating with the necessary teams to ensure patient status updates are shared with the appropriate teams.
Responsibilities
Review evaluation documentation, POC to ensure accuracy with the comprehensive assessment, face-to-face, and the POC; follow up on any documentation requiring timely correction and make recommendations as necessary.
Follow up on recommended OASIS changes.
Determine the necessity of medical services in compliance with federal and state reimbursement policies.
Work with clinical field staff and review clinical documentation for established quality standards.
Understands and adheres to established Agency, State and Medicare policies.
Accepts responsibility for regular attendance and punctuality; fulfills job related requirements without regard to time involved.
Serves as a resource person to employees.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Professional license RN, PT, OT, ST
OASIS Certification and Coding preferred.
Homecare Home Base EMR experience is preferred.
Two or more years’ experience in home health or hospice is required.
