JOB OVERVIEW

Maxx Designers is looking for a highly motivated and creative Architectural Designer who is ready to join our design team. This individual will be responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables in construction documents. This individual will work on any/all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. This individual will report to the Director/Principal/Associate Principal on tasks and deliverables work with them to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget constraints in accordance Maxx Designers quality and client service standards.

Responsibilities:

- Generate new concepts and create fresh project ideas to meet client requirements.
- Produce high-quality visuals for presentations, such as renderings and animations.
- Be an effective presenter of ideas and concepts to EA staff and Clients.
- Create design concepts and continue the development through all design phases (SD/DD/CD).
- Function as a conduit between the conceptual design process and architectural documentation implementation.
- Work collaboratively with the Design Leadership in establishing format, drawing assignments, deliverable,s and schedules.
- Plan layout of projects by reading surveys of the lot and building shape, documenting geometric details, and applying basic MEP (mechanic, electric, plumbing, and sprinkler) information, etc;
- Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time
- Integrate engineering elements into the unified design;
- Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans, and refine the technical drawing based on comments from the design architect, project manager, and clients;
- Plan, initiate, and run project meetings, setting agendas, and issuing meeting minutes.
- Prepare technique drawings, renderings, photographs, and sketches in an organized way for the design architect and project manager.
- Coordination with Engineering companies, and Clients for necessary inputs
- Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor.

Applicant Requirements:

- 3 to 10+ years of commercial design experience.
- Superior proficiency in Revit is required.
- Experience in Commercial Construction is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Excellent problem-solving skills.
- A portfolio of examples showing your ability with Revit.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and assess project workloads to prioritize deadlines accordingly.
- Thrive in a collaborative design team environment and with senior management.
- Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, and vendors.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have extremely strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be quality-minded and self-motivated.
- Possess knowledge of commercial buildings and the latest design trends.
