JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a qualified Academic Instructor to assist in the development of a comprehensive online Catholic premarital preparation course, commonly referred to as Pre-Cana. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Catholic teachings, marriage sacraments, and experience in curriculum development. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the spiritual and relational growth of couples preparing for the sacrament of marriage within the Catholic faith.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive curriculum for a Catholic premarital preparation course (Pre-Cana).
• Create engaging and interactive course materials, including lectures, presentations, activities, discussions, and assignments for specific modules.
• Incorporate Catholic teachings on marriage, family life, and the sacrament of matrimony into our Christian-based course content.
• Ensure that practical topics such as communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, and financial management of the current Christian-based courses align with the Catholic faith.
• Collaborate with an in-house psychologist to ensure the course aligns with Catholic teachings and guidelines.
• Incorporate other relevant scripture passages, prayers, and rituals into the course to foster spiritual growth and reflection.
• Develop tools for couples to assess and strengthen their faith.
• Create assessments and assignments that encourage couples to apply course concepts to their unique relationship circumstances.
• Revise and refine course materials based on feedback from experts and clergy.
Qualifications:
• Master's or higher degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of Catholic teachings on marriage, the sacrament of matrimony, and family life.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching within a Catholic context.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Catholic premarital preparation programs and the Pre-Cana process.
• Passion for supporting couples in their spiritual and relational journey toward a Catholic sacramental marriage.
