Entertainment Blogger (Week-to-Week Basis, Potential for Full-Time)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and creative Entertainment Blogger to join our team on a week-to-week basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after two months.

The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for the entertainment industry, a keen eye for trending news, and excellent writing skills.

As our Entertainment Blogger, you will be responsible for producing engaging and informative content about movies, television series, and the latest entertainment industry happenings.

A conversational writing style, combined with a solid understanding of SEO and WordPress, is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, news, and developments in the entertainment industry, including movies, television series, celebrity news, and pop culture.

- Create well-researched and engaging articles covering a wide range of entertainment topics, ensuring timely delivery of content.

- Write in a conversational and relatable style, effectively connecting with readers and encouraging discussions in the comments section.

- Craft catchy headlines and subheadings that capture the essence of the content and entice readers to click.

- Optimize content for search engines (SEO), including keyword integration, meta descriptions, and internal/external linking.

- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm content ideas, editorial calendars, and strategies for audience engagement.

- Contribute to social media efforts by promoting blog posts and engaging with readers on various platforms.

- Format and upload articles to WordPress, ensuring consistency in style and formatting (we'll handle image placements/graphics)

- Produce 3 articles per day (5 days a week) - a total of 15 articles per week

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

- Proven experience as an entertainment blogger or content creator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your writing skills and knowledge of the entertainment industry.

- Excellent command of the English language, with exceptional writing, grammar, and proofreading abilities.

- Passion for and deep knowledge of movies, television series, and entertainment pop culture.

- Familiarity with SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search engines.

- Proficiency in WordPress or similar content management systems. (Understanding of Yoast Plugin is a plus)

- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset for working within a team.

- Ability to adapt to feedback and continuously improve content quality.

- A conversational writing style that resonates with a diverse audience.

- Submission of a writing sample related to "geek culture," showcasing your ability to cover entertainment news, movies, television, or specific elements of geek culture in an engaging and informative manner.
