Overview: The Junior Social Media Manager role has a great impact on each client’s experience on social media. This role is responsible for creating beautiful, sales-worthy, and exciting social media content while maintaining impactful relationships with each Sr. Social Media Manager on their team as well as each client. As you create, publish, and report on content, you’ll be switching between many different duties. This is a great opportunity for someone to be able to showcase their time management and creative skills while also expanding their strong relationship building skills.
Responsibilities:
Support Social Media Manager on your team with various social media management tasks
Plan an engaging calendar of content for social media; create graphics and captions from photos and videos sent by the client, and ‘marketing posts’ in accordance with our company content and branding guidelines
Liaise with Client Success Managers and/or Business Development as needed
Proofread peer content using company-issued resources
Schedule posts via Hootsuite; manual posting as required
Monitor engagement and adhere to company's reputation management best practices
Prioritize content creation based on client preferences/needs
Copywriting projects must be completed as required
Utilize the company’s project management software to ensure projects are updated timely and efficiently; collaborate with other tea
Communicate timely and efficiently with the tea
Consistently participate in team calls and meetings via phone and video meeting
Research industry trends to ensure your content creation and captions are up-to-date with current expectations and standards
Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain our clients’ brands
Analyze each client’s current digital marketing plan and social media strategy; identify weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement
Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to marketing activities
Meet/exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
Navigate/troubleshoot operational issues that may interfere with the client’s social media presence
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a client success or sales background
At least 2 years of experience in content creation required
Mastery of Canva required
Excellent grammar and English comprehension skills required
Knowledge of video editing tools required
Previous experience using project management software; proven ability to create, organize, and manage tasks
Must possess an “eye for detail” and excellent organizational skills
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of third-party social media tools and supporting software
Must possess extensive knowledge of how to troubleshoot operational and technical issues with social media platforms; Mastery of Hootsuite, Sprout Social, G-Suite, Google My Business, and a variety of project management software's
