Software Engineer

• Develop and maintain our existing e-retail platforms including website, mobile site, merchandising system and order management system
• Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, design, development and implementation of application systems. Develop computer systems/applications, integrate application systems and prepare user documentations
• Study and analyse potential impact where changes in procedure and business requirements and amending the specification and implementation of appropriate changes to systems
• Conduct thorough problem analysis in regard to technical system and application programs; documents findings and proposes problem resolution alternatives; maintain current working knowledge of all installed application systems
• Design and code new features or system according to the requirements or functional specification
• Be involved in the software testing and quality assurance when necessary
• Write and maintain the relevant technology documentation
• Record all the development work into ticket system
Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology or equivalent
• At least 3 years of software development experience in PHP or other related field is required for this position
• Preferably candidate with experience in Web Development, especially PHP Development and knowledgeable in CakePHP & Laravel framework
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including PHP, MS SQL/MySQL, XHTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/Jquery
• Possess strong Object-Oriented design/development skills
• Possess strong skills in problem analysis, solving, database design and management, project documentation
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
• Have a positive attitude with a genuine desire to move forward in career
