Virtual Accountant (Australian Accounting Firm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bookkeeping & Accounting
-Bookkeeping tasks (payroll, accounts payable/receivable & bank reconciliations)
-Month end Journals
-Preparation of Management Reports and accounts, with commentaries
-Assist in the preparation of forecasts and ---------- pliance
-Preparation of Business Activity Statements
-Preparation and delivery of other compliance reports as required (e.g. Payroll Tax and Superannuation Processing)
-Assistance with the preparation of EOFY Working Papers and Financial Statements

Leadership
-Training of staff on specific task association with your team’s clients
-Review of work prior to filing of reports and ensuring adherence to regulations

General
-Client Communication and Ad-hoc client requests
-Other duties as directed within the limits of the contractor's skill base.
-Program and annual training needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
-CPA Required
-Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred)
-Australian Accounting Experience (at least 1yr)
-Experience in producing monthly management accounts
-Experience in producing Excel reports
-Excellent communication skills
-Can work with team/Independently and responsibly under pressure
-Experience in handling client/multiple clients
