Award winning Web Hosting & Cloud Technology Consulting firm in Sydney Australia is looking for a Hosting Support Consultant to join our team.

In this position you will primarily be responsible for managing level 1 helpdesk queries for web hosting technical and accounting issues and report directly to our Service Director. You will be responsible for managing client accounts on our bespoke hosting platform including linux virtualisation, WHM/Cpanel servers as well as Cloudflare CDN. You must also have the ability to work in a small, no-bullshit, collaborative team environment.
Your Key Responsibilities will Be:
- Help customers with troubleshooting website and hosting issues on Cpanel-based servers
- Resolve problems with wordpress, joomla and other website platforms
- Assist with migrating websites from existing servers to our platform
- Assist with transfer and migration of DNS zone files and domain names for customers
- Handle all phone and email communications in a timely and professional manner
- Provide Level 1 resolution of customer issues/tickets via phone and email
Prior experience required for this role (you will be asked to substantiate this):
- 1-2 years in a technical helpdesk or systems administrator role
- 3+ years of Information Technology industry experience
- Experience working with WHMCS billing platform (or similar)
- Demonstrable experience working with WHM/CPanel server
- Strong experience administering technologies FTP, Apache, DNS, MySQL, SSH
- Web programming experience with technologies HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Shell, Perl, etc.
- Google Apps for Business experience and talent will be advantageous
The current role will be part-time/contract but can move to full time depending on work completed.
